Well, whoopyfuckingdoo. You might have thought that one of blogging's leading technology writers might have thought that was a pretty good idea years ago! Try this. Host a party at your house. Advertise it widely. Let any shitbag who want's to come in. Result? One trashed home. No surprises there then.

What is this obsession with comments anyway? Clearly some bloggers see it as a sign of popularity (LGF can manage comments in the 1000's). But everywhere you go now is infested with stupid, moronic, juvenile, illiterate remarks which add absolutely fuck all to the site they are posted on.

Check out YouTube. Do we really need to know that Slupface666 thinks this video is 'reelie kool'?

Or this: 'youre a bitch, you wont do it. coward. you are the snake that harasses the farmer and his family. islam is full of cowards who have to convince old, dying, or young and stupid to join their ranks. cowards. uneducated swine. may G-d show his true wrath upon you by casting you all into a pig filled hell. fuck islam, and fuck you. bitch.'

Or how about this comment left for me on a site where my screen name is MisterPower: mister power : this name indicates: a 3cm long penis and suffering from inferiority complex. even viagra doesn´t help in this case.

I had to point out to the twat that: I use the screen name MisterPower because... IT'S MY REAL NAME YOU STUPID FUCKING CUNT!

I think people should be asked to leave their address and phone number before commenting is allowed. Then I could go around and ask the little twerps to repeat their comments to my face. Now that could be fun.

Anyone bothered enough by Sierras's over excited claims (even her blog is called 'headrush') should check out a defence from one of the bloggers she is smearing, Chris Locke, aka RageBoy. Now some people might think a good smearing is all he deserves for co-authoring that collection of 'hippy-dippy assertions', The Cluetrain Manifesto, but that's another matter.
