Coming Home

A terrific series on Radio 4 all this week between 9 - 00am and 9 -45am and repeated at 9 - 30pm, 'Coming Home', in which Charles Wheeler presents personal interpretations of what the end of the war meant for people here and abroad.

Today's programme was particularly poignant. Fathers returning to children to whom they were strangers, continued victimisation of Jews and the shabby treatment of black ex-servicemen are some of the issues touched on in this wonderful programme.
